Vindictive Zoramites try to incite welcoming Lamanites to expel converted Zoramites. They refuse. Then wicked Zoramites join with troublesome Lamanites who hang around Nephite territory. They institute battle ending by the River Sidon. Nephites are victorious. A Nephite, Amalickiah conspires to be king. The Lord raises up a righteous hero, Moroni, who raises a “Title of Liberty” flag and recruits faithful Nephites to fight for freedom. Through treachery, Amalickiah, and then his brother become Lamanite kings and a war between Nephites and Lamanites last many years. Betraying Nephites cause the war to last longer. Two thousand sixty brave young converted Lamanite warriors join the war under Helaman to help Nephites battle for freedom.
