The actions of Captain Moroni and his people work well on a metaphorical level for us today. We know that there will be a consistent onslaught of wickedness thrown at us, but we can be prepared for it by setting up our defenses according to our circumstances. Clearly, in this section, and throughout history, consistent righteous actions lead to ultimate blessings. Also, we learn of the power and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. When we slip, we can repent and be redeemed and blessed again.
